Water heater longevity

I have been looking at water heaters and I am afraid that these units will fall apart with too much off road travel. Has anyone used these and subjected them to a lot of vibration? do they hold up well? I'm looking at units like the EccoTemp. Thanks!

OMG... well I am very happy to hear that it has lasted that long for you.... however I just looked up Isotherm and I'm only seeing units that are $700+!! I should be more clear that i would like to spend less than 200 for the heater. Do they have cheaper tankless systems?

I'll most likely be building it into a trailer eventually but it would be nice if it could be used off my Nissan Frontier till I can get the trailer going. If it is the right size unit I can always put it in a bed tool box till for now.

I purchased my Eccotemp L5 in April and found myself on many rough roads in various conditions and it has held up well. The only thing I did was to replace the plastic hose going to the shower head with a stainless steel flexible hose. Otherwise it's a great setup. I believe you will need at least a 20-35 psi pump to run it. That being said I used a 26 gallon ATV sprayer tank from Northern Tool which has a 70 psi pump attached and the total cost for that was $169 plus tax.

Well that's comforting. That is the one that I have been most seriously considering. If the heater needs 20-35psi and your sprayer is 70 that isn't too much for it? Also is the sprayer tank food quality plastic? seems like they could just use whatever and get away with it because they sprayer is not intended to be drinking water. I would like to be able to use the water in the tank as drinking water as well as washing. Thanks!

I dunno, I always keep separate jerry cans for refilling the tank and for drinking h20 I do use the ATV tank to heat my h20 for washing dishes.
