Water Jugs?? What do you use?

I used to use, metal, 5L, French wine tins; they fit well in jerry can carriers over the rear fender wells of a Jeep CJ.
Recently I have gone back to Scepter 5 and 10 L cans; 5 liter for in tent water, two 10 liter, one black for solar (warmer) water for potable and washing purposes.
There is usually a GI canteen in or two in/near the front seat for, on the move, road/trail sips.

Enjoy!

Love to see a picture of one of the wine tins. I love the Scepter and LCI containers. I still haven't discovered the actual plastic used in the Rotopax or others, but I guess regular polyethylene; I prefer HDPE. Much stronger for the weight. But I have to admit metal containers are definitely nice. I have mentioned it before but Cornelius kegs work pretty well too, although they are round, which is a bit of a hassle in some applicatioins. But easily pressurized if you're a brewing nut. And geez, some of the plastic things cost MORE, which is pretty shameless, considering the kegs are aluminum, wide mouthed, and come with dispensing fittings.

(if this doesn't work I'll go take a pic)

There appear to be at least two variants of these cans both based on European jerry cans.
one has a center seam than runs around the can vertically, the other (likely older) does not both are roughly half height NATO cans coated inside for wine. After some years of use mine is starting to get some rust around the spout seam.

Enjoy!
Edit: the 1957 dated cans that I have are steel and quite heavy.

Over the years I have used several types of water storage my latest go to is Water Bricks...love them

While my finally completed off-road trailer has a 33 gallon tank I still love my Waterbricks. They are also great when I go out without the trailer. I take at least one with the trailer to use as a simple group hand washing station. The size of the Waterbricks makes it easy to stuff them in various locations and when they stack they stay put. Plenty of options out but I like the 3.5 gallon size. The weight is manageable.
