water slosh behind the dash

My D2 had a leaky water pump that initiated the sloshing sound from behind the glove box, mostly during left hand turns. Impossible to not hear it when you have it. When my fluid got low, the air in the system caused the sloshing.

too much pressure on the heater core.
If it does blow ... it can be a mess, not to mention scare the buttons off of your shirt!!

The heater core on our Mazda truck failed at 65mph on the highway between Haines Junction and Tok, Alaska. One minute we were listening to the radio and watching the trees go by, the next nano-second later the cabin was filled with steam. Flippin' horrific. In our case, it was a $10 part on the heater core that failed.
