I've seen those pictures on a few other websites. I think rather than worrying about the weakpoint is seems to show, I'll just avoid driving headlong into a tree branch at a moderate rate of speed.
It has happened to Toyotas too. There is very little to learn from this incident other that freak accidents happen. I spend a lot of time in the exact area where this happened and driving across fallen trees is a regular thing. Makes you think twice about using soft doors.
