Welding, making rack, Phoenix area

Looking for a referral. I'm no welder and I need a custom rack solution, or so it seems.

The scoop: I want a "roof" rack to mount over the bed of my truck in the dimensions of 5" x 28" x 62" (mas o menos). I purchased a roof tent that I'm currently using two simple steel tubes (1/8" thickness, 1" square) that span the bed. Tent bolts to that.

Then I got to thinking: A shallow (4"-5") roof rack over the bed would be sweet. I'll create some storage space. Also, I was thinking of making a panel that sits on the part of the rack that is not covered by the tent. The panel could allow me to affix a faucet for the fresh water system and perhaps set the stove on the panel before bed. Then I can wake up, throw open the door and make some hot chocolate for my wife first thing in the morning from the comfort of the tent. :)

Anyway, I need to have this sucker "outsourced." Any recommendations for the Phoenix area? I can simply open the phone book, but I was thinking someone 'round here has used someone they'd recommend.

Thanks for your time...
Mark

I do some freelance fabrication work in my spare time...but don't have any spare time until next month....and I'm in Tucson. IIRC, Brittan recently became the proud owner of a Millermatic 210 welder, he is up in PHX, so you might talk to him (he does a damn nice job....look no farther than his or bajataco's trucks for examples).

If you want, I know someone who knows someone with a full-on fabrication shop (complete with all the high dollar cutting/bending/notching/shearing/rolling/punching equipment that us weekend warriors never have access to). This guy typically builds rock buggies, etc.....not sure how many "small" jobs he does (if any), but I can ask for contact info.....

Steve @ Sonoran Steel does great work and takes alot of pride in his welding. He is located in Tempe. My truck is actually going into his shop this next week for a makeover.
