What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Hooked up my new overland solar panel I picked up at expo and also installed the national luna single battery monitor.

Installed my ORH CargoTop and ARB 37qt. I either need to modify the tonneau portion with marine zippers or a fridge slider.

I primarily use it for my fishing rods. It is 8' long so that it can accommodate my one-piece saltwater rods. IRRC the tube is 5" or 6" diameter drain pipe. It was the best $20 I've spent in years.

I have a similar pipe. I store my propex heater hose in mine, but it can be used for pretty much anything. It might be a DIY solar shower, too?

Yep I noticed on an ARB RTT UTube a Rover had one with taps and a filler neck.

Yarjammer, I wondered about other uses since I get to the ocean only twice a year...soon to change.

Went camping here:

But picked up a roof top tent along the way... Tepui Kukenam in Siberian Camo -- it works well with the color of my Jeep. Strapped it to the roof until I made it to the camp ground where I finished the install, bolted it to the roof rack and popped it open.

the box made great 'fire starter' material:

A view out my 'back window'... that access road is a 'public loop' that circles 3.5km in the park here -- people would drive out from the park here, spot the jeep and tent, hit the brakes stare at the setup, take pictures, etc. My setup was more of an attraction that some of the dinosaur fossils I think!

all packed up and parked in the driveway of my dream home:

(took the 'long way back' and found this beauty in the middle of a field).

I've used it for tent poles, antennas, and smaller diameter PVC or copper pipe during runs from the big box store. The problem with shorter items is they can be a total PIA to get back out since they invariably slide forward.

I have plans to do a similar project to my Jeep and intend to put clean-out caps at both ends for that very reason. The tube I install will only be about six feet long.

That park is usually our first camp out since it's usually warmer than the rest of the province.
Can't figure out where you would pick up an RTT between Edmonton and Drum. It does compliment the Jeep quite well.

picked it up at toyota in cochrane... just a small 'detour' on the road trip... they had siberian camo, and in stock - that pretty much made my decision on what to get.

I've got a tailgate table showing up in a few days, an old man emu steering stabilizer to replace the BDS dual steering stab I have installed (it's pneumatic and pulls left all the time), also still waiting on my teraflex accessory mount for the hinge I've already installed. Once the accessory mount shows up I can finish my CB install and mount my rotopax units I've had sitting around too.

Other than that, nothing else is on my immediate list... nice weather is here, so I'll spend most of the time on weekend excursions anyway.

I built a trail rack that will mount on the tailgate when I move the spare tire to the bumper's tire carrier whenever it comes in. I also got an aluminum sheet to make a tailgate table.
I copied this design, except the rack's down-rails are male that slide into female tubes that are mounted to the tailgate so I can remove it when not needed.
