What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

It is out finally. I like the concept need to see more pics and maybe a video which they say they are doing. Really neat design and some have commented on the possibility of a J30 being used in conjunction with how it looks. That would be awesome to see if so. LOD released photos on 10/6 on some of the Jeep forums. I am not sure if I can post which ones so I will just leave it at that. PM if you cannot find and I will tell you which ones. Edit I just grabbed a couple of photos off of one of other sites so you could see.

I actually got an email from one of the forums about it! It's a good looking rack, I just don't like the fact that you have to drill into the body. I live in Minnesota and any drilling into the body worries me because of how much salt we use.

Yeah I am on the fence about it however it is definitely a great alternative for people looking for a roof rack. The drilling on the back an how it attaches has me a little perplexed. Need more pics video and maybe a guinea pig to buy it lol.

I agree: normally I try not to get into it with people who are more abrasive in nature. I would have decided to defend my actions by telling him that if he was able to see the other side he would realize that the forward screws were both even and the outboard screws were equally lower for a good reason. I however decided that a confusing rhetorical comment was more fun.

Not trying to be abrasive, just making the observation, my apologies if my observations offended you. I incorrectly assumed that if you had good reason to make the screws uneven, you would have made the left fender's screw placement mirror that of the right fender's. I'm just a type A individual who's career is highly dependent on identifying inconsistencies in symmetry and attention to detail so these things really jump out to me.

Removed my overhead console from my JKU cut it up and getting ready to re-build it. I wanna enclose the CB, re position the gauge pod a little. Originally the CB was going to be enclosed but ran out of time at the shop and just have not gotten back to it yet.

Original, the CB was going to be angled but we never got around to covering the top. Now that I am running a hard top the CB can not be angled.

Pod and CB tabs removed.

I plan on cutting the pod up so that the face of it is removable to allow easy access to the mounting screws.

Now that I have done all this I am thinking of switching to the SPOD because of their Bluetooth feature.

For it to work on a J30 it will need something to extend it up ~6 inches so it clears the top.

I did see them on all the popular jeep forums. I have a gobi stealth.. which is serving me awesome so far. The LoD does have the cool awning feature. Although I'm not a big fan of the rear boxy supports. Do you know if it pivots to allow the soft top to fold down.

Thanks for posting the pics!

Drove it home from Atlanta, expo east and a visit to my parents in Alabama yesterday
On my trip to NC and back to Denver I did have occasion to install a set of airbags in the back of my Jk because I was bringing home a bunch of tools from my dad's place in Montgomery

Got new BAllistic Fab Dana 44 diff cover designed for JK Rubi 44 in and tested on my '77 Ford F150 D44 diff! Now I just need all the rest of the steering components to arrive so I can build my inverted T, 1.5" x 0.25 walled, DOM tubed linkages.

Got use my new superwinch tigershark winch for the first time. Also the fist time I have ever used a winch.

Great feeling to be able to get out of bad spots, but I suggest reading some posts on safe winching on this site...it can be a dangerous undertaking at times specially with people standing near the cable. When the cable breaks under tension it can be just as nasty as a chain saw. I was lucky to learn from a friend who ran a logging truck in the bush and winched often.

I got the opportunity to help out Mile Marker Winch with a new line of winches they are producing and in the process of doing that got to get me a beautiful winch as well. Was fun cannot wait to see what the photo shoot and commercial looks like. It was very interesting to watch the whole process. I was glad I was thought of and was in right place right time.
