What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

I've been getting my LJ ready for camping season. Dual batterys are needed to run the fridge and power outlets. I am running a manual battery switch and added battery monitor gages next to the drivers seat to keep track of charge levels.

Already added my winch and some additional lighting.

Started the build of my custom light mount, incorporating PCS dual row LED bar mounts. Going to house 4 KY 100w Apollo series lights. Top section of the PSC mount will support the roof rack.

Gave my visa a workout... placed an order for JW Speaker EVO 2's and a Titan fuel tank for my JK. I have MorRydes hinges and will be ordering the rest of their tailgate parts (tailgate reinforcement, beefed up tire carrier and hi lift holder) in a couple of weeks. This should be more then enough to handle the tank (which will usually be empty) my 35" spare and my trasharoo. I also grabbed my new fenders I picked up used and will paint them up this weekend and get them installed next week before my road trip.

Looking forward to reading how this works out for you. I think this would be a great way for a lot of people to go.

Yeah, but it's not exactly cheap (although the crappy exchange rate doesn't help either). $500 US/$780 CND for the tank, then another $550 US or so to reinforce the tailgate to support it. The benefit is that it's not 3-4k which is what I figured a Genright tank would cost (still on my list - just really far down now), and you do not have to use a certain bumper or the AEV tire carrier, so I like that - all my options are still open for me to do whatever and go in whatever direction I choose.

The last month or so has been really strange with the weather here in SWFL. This week it finally got back to normal and it appears to be a nice week so I decided to loose some of my winter weight :) Love taking doors off and driving in beautiful weather even if it is just to work!

I added a short 13" antenna to replace the factory one. Reception didn't suffer, and the Jeep looks a lot cleaner.

Took the XJ for a spin around base last night, first time almost 2 years it's been driven.
It goes, stops, turns, and nothing fell off. Yea!
Now a few more bits and I can go get it inspected.

Really like how you setup your Jeep. Super clean, and every time I look, there is something else I see.

Thanks Scott I appreciate the kind words!

Here's an extra shot - it's not often in the middle of February the Jeep is this clean :D Record heat of over 70 degrees was just the motivation I needed!

I agree, that is a great looking rig. So many people go a little too far with their mods (im guilty of the same).

Got a few changes done.

Put on a pair of billet mirror mounts and a set of Dodge Van electric mirrors. Haven't quite worked out the wiring yet, but the mirrors are mounted.

I also installed a perforated vinyl graphic on the rear side windows.

And for the fun of it, here's our youngest cat watching a deer watch her (in our yard).
