Well installed the JWspeaker EVO 2's and the fogs... Have to say... the highbeams were kinda disappointing. Everything else was amazing, but for something that's touted as the best on the market (and priced accordingly) they left me with the feeling of wanting more and questioning the purchase.
Not hard at all. You will need a bracket to support the corner of the 40 seat once you remove the 60 side. You can see the bracket in the pic on the slope of the floor.
Synergy makes the brackets or did. I think they have discontinued them but they are still out there if you search. It is called a 3 seat bracket.
Redid a bunch of wiring. Lightbar was run with 12ga wire, but would get very hot after 10-30 seconds - so wired it up with 10ga wire. Problem solved. Just had to deal with the major hassle of running that size wire. Also rewired my HID driving lights. Was using a ballast extender that allowed me to put my ballasts in the engine bay - however they were **** and were not reliable (rarely could get both lights on with 1-2 attempts). Now they work great (just like they're suppose to).
Next up is to clean out the jeep before my road trip next week. That and update the songs on my ipod.
Haven't executed it yet, but I've been thinking about a design for my fridge slider/prep surface in my JKU. Due to the custom drawer system already installed and the onboard water tank I don't have enough room for an out of the box fridge slider. Plus it wouldn't be nearly as fun!
Today I finally got it figured out and drew it up in SketchUp. Total added height is only 3" and the table will end up a little wider than in the drawing @ 12.5"x52ish". I'm using 2x 26" 500lb Accuride 9308 locking sliders for the fridge, 2x 26" 150lb 3308 locking sliders for the first table top section and 2x 24" 3301 150lb non-locking sliders for the table top extension support. These 3301s will be turned horizontal, but should still support the <50lbs I would ever place on that section of the table. I decided to go ahead and encase the fridge in 1/4" birch ply so that I could stack stuff around and to help keep honest people honest if the tops off(Beer won't go missing). Plus my stove fits nicely between the fridge and the Jeep's top.
- We also in stalled Synergy track bar brackets upper and lower on the front plus the sector shaft brace. In the rear the upper track bar brace was installed. Lower one came with the lift.
A couple weeks ago, I replaced the rear sway bar in the overland jeep...
I wanted to give it a good test run before saying much, and now that I've added a few more miles, I can say this new rear sway bar was a huge improvement in cutting down on body roll. I wrote up a quick blog post on it with a few more photos (here).
