What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Had all my parts acquisitions fall through. Wheels are not available in my area, tires are back ordered and the guy I was getting the rock krawler suspension from will not ship to Canada. Well, she's going in tomorrow to get 285 BFG KOs. Something new to ease my mind..ha ha.

There is room for you in Alberta !!!
Lots of 4WD stores here.

Fab'd a tailgate shelf for my stove from a used datacenter cabinet shelf. Now that everything fits, I need to clean up the rough edges and paint it.

Have a molle attached rip-off First Aid kit that will hang on the "bottom" of the shelf.

Very nice.. Could you post a writeup? Did you drill in?

Yeha, I know. I order most everything through Northridge. A guy down in the states had the RK suspension, had it on for 800 miles and took it off. So it was going for a great deal. I have teraflex leveling kit on mine now and really really like it. So I don't need anything really. Just wanted to try. Going to add airbags for weight. Wheels im going to just get the rubicon wheels and call it a day.

Thanks. Give me a week or two and I'll post a write-up. I'm going to take it apart to clean up some rough edges and paint some bare steel, so I'll get some more detailed pics and post a write-up.

Took the trailer out of storage, and moved it to my new place. First time hooked up after getting the lift. Went from slightly tongue down to slightly tongue up. Originally I was going to do a spring over, but I think that'll give me too much height. Looks like I'll have someone make me a small shackle lift.

I did a spring-over, but used CJ-3 shackles to drop it about 2".

Why not just get a receiver with a different drop/rise?

I want to build a slide out kitchen out of the front of the box, and it's a tad low right now. Leveling out the trailer by raising it an inch or so will get that extra bit of height I want.

huh? I'm confused. Why (or even how) use shackles to drop it back down after lifting it?

The axle flip is a 5" lift for ground clearance. The shorter shackle hangers are to drop it 2" to make hitch height with tire size I'm using. You can only have your hitch so high if you want to be able to open the tailgate. You have to have the receiver as short as possible for max break-over angle. So my pintle hitch is under the tire.
