What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Weird. I know they're switching to the rigid brand and to no discount pricing like AEV. But I read prices were going up, not down. Unless Northridge is pulling one over on everyone.

Yeah they are increasing the prices here I think beginning tomorrow. I have heard from a couple vendors it is going to be around $550 for a pair starting July. Crazy. Oh well if that really does happen it will be marked off the ole upgrade list.

Yup. I sold my IPFs for $100 and am selling my oems on eBay. So $240 for trucklites and saving $150 over doing it tomorrow seemed like a decent deal.

Picked it up and drove it the 150 miles back from Clayton Offroad after having the long arm upgrade installed by none other than Clayton Walters himself. One word for how it drives on the highway at 75+... Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to see how it is off road soon. Hope to have some pictures soon.

I guess I'm going to go get a new thermostat housing and maybe, just maybe put it in. My last attempt didn't go too well. In the continuation of my cooling system woes after it puked coolant and ran hot on it first 20 mile round trip voyage from the house I set about changing the thermostat since it seemed to be the source of the steam.

Round one was auto parts saying no you don't need a gasket. Take it off there is a gasket.
One parts store, not in stock. good there are two in town. It's actually for the aftermarket housing and is a little too big but tried it anyways. Filled up the system, big leak, just pukes out. So in wiggling to get the last bolt in I'm guessing the thermostat popped out of the lip it's in. But before I came to that thought I figured I'd try tightening the bolts a little more. Heard a snap, but didn't lose tension so I didn't snap a bolt (that would have been the end for me) so I think I broke the housing? Haven't brought myself to take it off yet.

So part of this post is a hypothetical what I did to my Jeep today.

JWS 279-J tail lights are now installed on Snoopy.

Took me a minute to wire them right. Not as many plugs on the driver's side unit.
The passenger side is plug/play. The driver's side you have to plug one of the old ones into the leftover socket, then plug in the new light. I zip-tied the the resistors to the wire bundles and declared victory.

I like the way they did it.
The red lights are blade fashion. Back-up light is crisp and bright.
And a little surprise is included that I didn't expect --- it flashes sideways alternately on blinker; a great safety feature.

My cel phone pics were terrible. I'll try to remember my camera in the morning.

Here's their ad photo

You always have the right gasket if you keep this around:

Buck-n-a-half?!? Dang. How'd you swing that?
