What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

^Reminds me that I got my ARB 2000 mounted to my Gobi Ranger rack on Monday. I went personally went with Gobi's mounts instead, even though ARB recommended the Fourtreks. Both seem extremely solid, just figured that the Gobi mounts would work a little better since they are built specifically for the rack.

I installed a new bow on my christmas wreath to replace the old one....I know, most of you guys dont do this extreme level of work and modification on your vehicles, so please, dont feel like you need to perform at this level. I understand.

Finally got a gobi stealth rack. And I mounted my cvt awning and road shower to it. Loving the rack on the Jeep. Only 3 years of wanting one. Mounted my awning using fourtreks awning brackets. These things are top notch. View attachment 376370View attachment 376371View attachment 376373

We run similar setups............Gobi......Road Shower.........Baja Rack over tire..........Awning.............. Looks good. I've been running my Gobi for 6 years.......LOVE it. Really like those brackets too!

I got to thinking about the towing lights I use to flat tow my CJ-7. I hate putting the magnets on my paint, and that's really the only place to mount them. So, I pulled the wiring loom out of its recess in the tub and spliced four wire trailer plugs inline at the rear corner. I also made a long 4 wire extension that I can plug in to the rear plug (after undoing the connection) and use the jeeps own tail lights for towing. I'm sure lots of guys do something similar, but I've never seen it done.

I have those connections on my YJ. The trailer connector is spliced into the wiring harness right in front of the driver's side door with some diodes to prevent the Jeep controlling the tow vehicle lights.

Can we get a build thread for the wreath? And you know, maybe a video on YouTube could help us wreath-newbies.

Sigh. I'll get started on one, but given the highly technical and involved nature I have a few reservations. Mainly that it will be lost on many of you weekend-warriors who can install bumpers and lifts and electronics, swap drivetrains, fabricate parts, and all sorts of "basic" mods, but lack the skill and expertise to fully grasp the intricacies of proper holiday decorations.....

I'm going under the assumption that since I will disconnect the front side of the harness, that the Jeeps lights will just act as trailer lights?
