What did you do to your Mitsubishi today?

I started to take mine off yesterday but may wait until I have sliders to go on. I may be crazy, but I feel better with them on versus not, when wheeling. I think they add a little more protection than nothing at all.

The way mine were mounted to the rocker, it looks like they'd cause even more damage if I came down on them on a trail. Eventually I will build sliders.

Gotcha, the GEN3 running boards (RB) are attached fairly well, I think. I have been in a few situations where I have put the RB in a serious bind. Then when I came in contact with the latest rock and did the damage in the above pic, I was relieved they were there.
Just a thought for you GEN3 drivers that are waiting to do the sliders.

This was last weekend, but I painted my front and rear tri-diamond logos red because I was tired of the stock chrome ones, and bobbed my rear mudflaps because one of them had a hole and I was tired of looking at it! I think the logos should definitely all come red from the factory, it looks a lot better (and less shiny) that way.

Getting ready for near-90-degree days in Death Valley this weekend. I have been putting off adding a hood scoop to the Montero for a little bit more cooling (after overheating last summer on a run), but I figured I'd better do it before this run.
This rectangular recess was exactly the right size for the scoop.
I drilled holes at the corners of each opening.
Cardboard to keep the blade and shavings away.
That, "Oh my god, what have I done" moment.
No turning back now!
Fits nicely.
When I started I was just going to put the scoop on and paint the hood another day, but I decided to finish the job. Scuffed and masked.
The black base coat.
The insulation was trimmed for free flow.
Now with the gloss semi-matte clear.
Just needs to be tightened down and I'm done!

Getting hot air out of the engine bay would be my guess. Plenty of flow through the grill. Need to keep that air moving out?

I finished salvaging my power window regulators on a 1989 Raider. Now that it is back to standard performance I'm retrofitting Power Windows and Power Door Locks into my Raider. I also removed some antenna wiring from an old CB installation routed behind the driver side fender. I had to remove the fender to get access to all the wiring.

Ive got one on the way. They always make it look super easy in youtube videos. I have the original that came with the truck but needed another one so my wife could have one. So i'm not sure if I have to re-program that one when I program the new one. I will find out soon enough. I hope you get yours programed.
The way it works on my 98 is that you program both transmitters if you want both to work. This process would be a whole lot easier if the keyless module was somewhere accessible, not underneath cargo area trim, since it has a toggle switch for programming.
