I had the clutch master cylinder fail at around 180k miles. Starter also. Alternator had been replaced shortly before I bought it around 170k miles.

that's awesome, do you mean to say in the states if you get a flat in the middle of bum ******k nowhere the dealer will come out and change your tyre
that's great, talk about service
here in Oz they give you a pissy little jack and a pathetic little wheel spanner and your on your own
me I carry a 3/4"drive rattle gun as well as the mandatory 5' length of tube
think we'll all have to move to the US

Hell no! the dealer wont do a thing, its up to you to call someone to change the tire, like a pro tire changer guy, but then over here almost no one knows how to change a flat. And a pissy little jack and spanner is a whole lot more than what I got!! Can someone post a picture of these ellusive components that we speak of?

How do you fit the pipe over the rattle gun? ;o)

Les Schwab came out in a service truck and fixed a puncture on one of my 455/55R22.5's for $47 last year in Seattle. I didn't think that was too bad. One of my tenants wanted to know where to take her car to have the alignment checked the other day. She's from Eastern Canada. I told her to try Les Schwab. She looked at me quizzically and I said "you know down on James Street". Oh, she said I thought that was "Lay" Schwab (as in "Les" Miserables) . That is so wrong.

I always like to carry a couple af pieces of flat tin and some button self tappers, amazing what you can fabricate when needed.
