71% domestic part content for the 2012 Wrangler, which is about average for a US vehicle. Big portion is the transmission coming from Germany (best of my knowledge not a 3rd world country). Now do me a favor and look at the window stickers of Ford and Chevy and tell me what difference you see. What you don't see is where the non-domestic parts are coming from. Ford and Chrysler tend to get more of the non-domestic parts from Mexico and Europe, GM a little more from China. My wife's Nissan Maxima btw is at 76%.Toledo Ohio may be where it was assembled but where were the parts sourced from? Check your sticker for the percentage and let me know

If domestic part content is important for you - which it should be - then I hope you drive a Honda Accord, which if I remember correctly has a domestic part content of above 80%.
Anyhow: Please don't be confused. Just because Chrysler claims that their vehicles are imported from Detroit does not mean that they are cheap 3rd world crap. Detroit aint that bad :elkgrin:
