What to know before buying used Subaru Outback?

I have a 2021 Outback Onyx XT. It’s a quick sleeper car like 0-60 in 5.8 seconds and 260 hp, compared to the base engine at around 9 seconds and 182 hp. What’s odd about Outbacks of newer and older gens is the base engine is underpowered for the vehicle size and the upgrade engine is more than enough. The older gens same I think the 3.6 0-60 in just under 7 seconds and the older 4 cylinder around 10. The Outback is our adventure and vacationing vehicle and we live near mountains and vacation a lot in the mountains with a roofbox and jammed with gear so the upgrade engine is great plus I couldn’t bring myself to buying a Wagon/SUV that was slower and less HP than my family sedan hybrid Sonata. My vote would be the 3.6.
