Ha..yeah, being able to stand up straight (to cook or change) is kind of what we are going for...but your right, I think it would work. Now that I am looking closer at standing height, the more I am turned off by a fixed high roof. A 24" top just looks off to me. And the price of a pop top is crazy.

A good discussion here on tops. Reach out to 86Scotty, he's got experience with both pops and fixed. Nothing beats experience.

Also sixstringsteve just put a fixed raised roof on his, and spencyg Boomer's top is so tall I hear tell he occasionally needs FAA clearance for certain trips.

Edit: on another note, V10 Chinook, "fly and drive"...I'm just spending other people's money!

Ha..FAA clearance...funny stuff. Thanks for the thread suggestion. I tried to do a search as I figured it had to have been discused a number of times on this forum. One thing I realized after reading that one, the medium roof transit is 6' inside height...I never really thought they looked overly tall.
