Off to work!

Ok, here's a camper that's truly made for work. This one is heading off to tromp around on the logging roads in Canada for work! Set up with a nice storage area for a portable generator, porta potti, ARB refrigerator, and some other great options and accessories. I won't say or show too much right now because the owner of this beauty is talking about sending more pictures and writing some about his travels and adventures... I can't wait!

Off To Work Continued

Hello
A few pictures of the interior:

I really like how Rob thinks of the best ways to use the small space. Every thing I use when I'm off for 10 days at a time is in the camper in these pictures with the exception of a dry food rubber maid box and a pelican case that my work equipment resides in. Cushions for the hugh top bed double as cushions for a couch area when the top bed is folded up. Table flips around to create more space etc. & also folds down to another bed, ARB fridge, extra 12v out lets along with 110v. Electric & manual water, heat tape on lines and tank wired to 110v system, inside switch for rear flood lights which also has truck dash switch, triple insulation on the wall fabric, 20,000 btu furnace, extra insulation on floor, walls & roof......no decals was a special request.

Innovative storage spots hidden all over the camper * notice the D-Loops to hold down the winch with Craddle and storage compartments cut at angles to facilitate easy entry:

Modern solar power parts used and strong rack:

Almost forgot the vented & insulated generator box with ladder to the roof:

The whole experince buying this camper was awesome and so easy. Absolutly love it! Thank you very much Rob. The Tacoma carries it easily with or with out the air bags (I do have a extra leaf from the 6" Fabtech Lift). There is power to spare up the hills and for passing even with the 35" tall tires.

I estimate that I will spend some where between 100 to 140 nights per year in this camper and it will see over 100,000 km's of rough forest service roads during that time. I will document and post my experinces on another thread at Expedition Portal once I get around to it.

Rob showed me one of these bonded solar panels when we visited Coyote RV installed on a black 8 footer, very cool. He'd know the stats. Hey, thanks Runt for the photos, a very innovative layout.

Camper looks great Runt!! The truck and camper combo looks fantastic!! As far as the solar panel goes, do remember the brand? I've been leaning towards the Unisolar brand adhesive type as I haven't seen anything else available in North America so I'd like to do some research on yours if you can find out for me. Thanks.:)

Some sort of lost...
Rob,
Are you going to be around the shop in the middle of November?
I will be moving a vehicle from Oregon to Louisiana and, depending on the weather, may pass right by you. I'd love to check out your campers in person. I'm realizing that the only way to get what I want is a custom built camper. My hard side camper is okay but doesn't really meet all of my needs.

Order your Pop up, visit:

Hi Brian,

As far as visiting in person to order your custom camper....

I will be out of town from November 7 through 11 delivering and installing a camper in Montreal Canada. Other than that, I'm there most M - F. The four of us family/crew take turns picking up and dropping off materials and campers too, so the best way to make sure we are there to take good care of you is to call and set up a firm appointment for your visit. Just don't want anyone to come out and miss us! (303) 286-3921

Great looking set-up. What is the finished weight of your camper? I'm still doing the math to see if If I can go with a camper or if I'll max out the payload on my 05 tacoma.
Thanks

Campers to Europe... again?

Way back in the 1970's my Dad had a person who baught themselves a camper and shipped it out to France. Then, they decided to buy a few, and become a "dealer." I don't know how many they shipped over, but it is pretty cool to see the old picture of the one parked on the steps of the Eiffle Tower.

Well, now some nice folks, who live in France, have decided that a new custom Phoenix PULSE is the right camp unit for their Toyota Euro Hilux. So, we have been working on their unit for the last couple of months, and these photos are from when it was loaded onto a big rig, and sent is on its way, long trip accross the big pond. I understand that these customers are followers of this thread, and I don't want to spoil the suprise, so I can only show you pictures of this unit after we wrapped it up for shipping. You'll see it sitting funny on our work truck because we had no forklift, and had to manually lift and slide it into the trailer, starting from the height of the pick up truck bed. That was a Crazy day... Should arrive in Montreal on Monday, be mounted on their truck, and then the truck/camper rig will be loaded into a container and continue onward to it's new home in France!
