Wheeler Pass road-Nevada

Linda and I plan on taking Wheeler Pass rd. (July 23) traveling west from Cold Creek to Pahrump. Has anyone been through this area? Is it suitable for solo and are there places to camp?

Last time I ran it, it was a very easy trail. Not sure on camping, although I'm sure you could find a spot.

We still have not unpacked all of our boxes of books, but it seems to me that the Michells in Vol. I of Great Basin SUV Trails have a description of that trail. I'll see if I can locate our copy before the 23rd. I think the book is OUP but you may be able to find a copy somewhere.
