Wheeling video and a request

My 16YO brother in law is an aspiring film maker. He wanted to try something new in video so I took him out for the first time a few weekends ago. The ice made for a very interesting trip. He edited down the video he shot in a few minutes and came up with this:


I like it but it ended up more of a music video type of thing as opposed to a more documentary-ish type of thing he was thinking of.

I was wondering if anyone had some favorite videos they would link to that portray a less rock video and more documentary look at offroading so he can get some ideas. Thanks in advance!

I got about halfway through the video you posted. The editing needs a lot of work. Excise all the zoom in zoom out, and camera repositioning. Just show one view, then cut to another, then another, then another. THat would be much less jaring, and less sea-sickness inducing

Thanks. I'll direct him to that thread for some ideas. He picked up a gopro so that will yield better from the vehicle shots.
