When did BFGoodrich discontinue the 33-9.5s?

I was getting ready to get a set of the ATs for my FJ60 for DD duties and no one has a full set of 5. DOH!

AT or MT? As far I know, the AT's are still available, although commonly a special order item. My buddy just got a couple about 3 months ago. I hadn't heard they were D/C'ed.

The 33x9.50 MTs have been gone for a long time. Like Matt says, I thought the pizza cutter ATs were still listed as available, but I have heard other people say they are on the chopping block, too. I was offered to buy the set I have on my truck once about 3 months ago and this is a guy who has been around Toyotas and 4WD forever, so I dunno...

Aren't there also 33x10.5 T/A KOs available? I thought the 33x9.5s had been gone for a long time and they were replaced with the 33x10.5s. I have a 33x10.5 BFG T/A KO that I use as my spare.

The 33x10.5 are still available in both MT and AT, but I don't think they were "replacements", just a wider option.

The 255/85/16 is great if you want to upgrade to a 16" rim - the 33x9.5 is for a 15" rim.

The MT's are gone? dang that sucks! i used to love those tires! They worked great for a spare tire up on a rack or so it didn't hang far off a tire carrier. Im really behind the times!

Only 33x9.50 MTs are gone (have been for a few years). BFG still makes a 33x10.50 MT and will I imagine for a while since it was a size listed for the new tread.

I really like the 33x10.5 tires. They fit nicely on stock rims and fit well under the stock fender flares.

You aren't the only one it seems. I'm probably one of the last hold outs, the 33x9.50 fits perfectly on '86-95 IFS Toyotas without cutting the fenders and only a torsion lift. Must be about the only vehicles still using them.

I am using the BFG AT/KO 33x9.50-15 on my truck. I still have many good miles left in them and sure hope I can get another set when these are gone.
If not the 33x10.50-15 will have to suffice.
The narrower tire sure is nice for a daily driven truck. I can air up to 40 psi for the daily commute and get good tread wear. Then I can air down for offroad and float over the terrain smoothly. I can lift the tire and wheel with one hand. They are nice and light. Sure would be a shame if they are not available when my time comes.

Get 'em while you can... most manufacturers are phasing out this size too. I went to go get some MT's in this size and all I could find were BFG's. Everyone will tell you tey can get them b/c they are still listed in their parts catalogs but when they place the call to get them, no one has them in stock. Yeah, sure you can still find them here and there but this size is leaving us as well.:mixed-smiley-030:

Not necessarily, the new BFG Mud Terrains KM/2 are slated to come out with the 255/85 size.

They already came out and are great tires. The BFG's are the only brand I found that has them available. I wonder how long they will be in production for though...???

I dont think they have come out yet. I am talking about the 'new' KM2's, not the older MT's.
