While waiting for the spacers to be installed. I decided to put a Goal Zero Lithium 400 in the side boot. It’s a wasted space and the GZ is now hidden from prying eyes.
I also installed a screened awning for bug protection. Busy Friday night....Hello long weekend.

Nitto Ridge Grappler looks like a very nice tire with the added good news that they weigh less than the KO2s!

Nitto -- 255/55R18 109T XL --- 39.35 lbs each
BFG -- LT255/55R18 --- 44 lbs each

Nitto sponsors our winter rally with a free set of tires for each entry. Will have to see if we can get a set of their Nitto Ridge Grappler's

Did you have to remove the whole side panel to get the GZ 400 into the side boot location? I've not really looked at the area for storage. Great idea.

any feedback on the Nitto RG's? Good looking tire, for sure.

So far I like them. No real road noise I can hear. I just drove five hours to Santa Fe NM in constant rain and the car tracked great so well I would be doing 95 mph without thinking I was a wet highway.

I'll be testing them in the snow today . We got about 6 inches with more on the way. IMG_20191128_070339674.jpg

I cut out the inside panel to the shape of the Goal Zero with a sturdy scissor. I then use a regular battery tray for support.

Any more info on these spacers? Russian?
Just came back from a long thanksgiving road trip from Chicago to Hilton Heads in rain, sleet and light snow (2,000 miles). I'm quite happy with the spacers, it rides like stock. It did came from Russia. Got it from ebay.

Otis turned 100,000 - took seven years & 3 months
We are well on our way prepping for a successful 2020 with the ALCAN 5000 rally coming up next this winter. Bumper-to-bumper maintenance complete. Serpentine belt, brake discs, brake pads, all replaced. All fluids flushed and replaced, radiator, brake fluid, transmission. Transfer case, diffs, transmission all serviced. Completed the 800k Totem Rally as a shake down no issues other than getting mud in places seen and unseen. Well, still dealing with our odo that is 3mph + 5% off - have not figured a factor for kilometers. This really hurt us on Totem which was run in BC using kilometers. All cleaned up and ready for 2020's adventures! First trip is ~5,000 mile rally this winter up to Tuktoyaktuk, NWT, west to Fairbanks, AK then up almost to Prudhoe Bay for a finish in Anchorage for the start of the Iditarod.
