Nice shots, we must have passed you folks at some point as we just did almost the same trip. We traded Valley of the Gods for Arch Canyon.
We had read of the Everett Ruess discovery before leaving and it made for good under star dreaming of frontier life (or death) a mere 75 years ago!
Here are some of the Arch Canyon ruins.

I come in Peace
Scott,
you are an inspiration for sure. I like the recent get back to basics theme you are sporting.

Great pics!

Cameras love Utah.

.

Utah doesn't love my camera...nope, not at all.

It does love the Scott camera...and on that note, may I add a few of those from Comb Ridge to a powerpoint I have for my 8th grade history class?

Pretty please?

Please use the images.

Are you going to be talking about Everett?
Thank You. Really.

I usually modify my presentations at the end each year for the next year, adding some more current history of an area, or showing what an area looks like currently.

I have just begun to add the Everett story. The main aspect I am adding your photos for are the early people of North and South America. I like to show the students ruins that are right here in Utah. I try really hard to make it as 'real' as possible for these kids.
They seem to think of history as a group of people that lived 'somewhere else, and happened so far away' and don't get the connection to their lives.

I just started a class earlier this week with photos of deceased soldiers from Gettysburg PA. Sure grabs the attention of 14 year olds, both male and female.
