Which direction to go with my FJ62?

Jeff (lagwagon on 'MUD) is building me this sweet bumper that is totally tight to the frame. I'll post up pics when it is done. It'll have the usual tire carrier, hi-lift jack mount, & dual gas can holders. But there is a cool lock out system to keep it open when it is open. Anyways. Can't wait until it is done.

Where can I find pics of his work?

Are you doing Rubithon in your rig Chad, or are you going to carry your new bumper through the trail? :safari-rig:

I can take some pics of his 80 and post up. He has a website that I am supposed to be designing. I'll bug him about it and get some pics up on it. He is part time right now but he is switching to full time. David (iron_giant) is working for him now so things are starting to take off. He was doing parts but is now doing fabrication and is starting to build expedition rigs. He also has some great ideas about California-legal diesel conversions that he is putting together.

I'm putting it in my backpack. Where else would it go? Of course, my backpack is going in your cruiser ....

I'm driving with the backwards run on Sunday before Rubithon to the Springs. I'll leave my 60 there and hike through with the backwards run. Then I'll hike back on Wednesday helping out the Rising Sun run. Before I really do Rubithon, I want -
1. More experience
2. Toybox - seems like the Rubicon in a wagon is all about gearing.
3. Front Locker

Based on some recommendations from the guys here, I've started making some purchases for my new build. Here are some pics of the first things to show up.

More things are on the way and pics will follow.

I used the fridge for the first time this past weekend at Lake Havasu. What a difference compared to running an ice/cooler setup. All my buddies had to run to the gas stations for ice twice a day to keep their drinks and food cold, and I just sat back in camp relaxing.:sombrero:

I've noticed that the temp gauge is a little off. Per the National Luna manual, I should have the fridge set at around 3 Celcius to keep beverages cold, but I found myself setting the temp to -2 Celcius to get them to the temp I like. Other than that, it runs perfect.......quiet, doesn't seem to draw a lot of power, and I really like the battery monitor that is built into the unit. Of course, once I have the dual battery system all wired up I will have a battery monitor in cab as well.

I'm just happy that my wife really enjoyed camping with it. Now I can breathe easier after spending the $$.

Today I received the long AAL's for my rear spring pack as well as the Mean Green 140 amp alternator and 4+ dual battery tray. I have a pile of parts stacking up and I need to find some time to install everything. I'd be happier posting install pics, but that will have to wait for 3 weeks since I'll be traveling. :(

Looks like Man-a-Fre, but is that the 40 dual battery tray or the 60 series auxillary tray?

Haven't heard too many long term results on the Luna fridge but it sure looks top notch. They say the price is forgotten when you pull the first cold one from the fridge. Hope that continues to work well for you.

Eager to see what else you have planned...:lurk:
