Indel TB-41A

I grew tired of trying snag a deal from OpenBoxDirect. So, I went for the smaller Indel B on that same group buy from Truck Fridge. $411.75 shipped for the TB-41A.

I also added a Waeco insulated cover from AdventureRV, at $51.00 shipped.

Indel B TB41-A Test Run

By the way, I did a test run last weekend with a fully top-off 60 Ah battery and after:

12 hours, set to 32°F @ an ambient 75°F, the remaining battery voltage was 12.7 volts
24 hours, set to 32°F @ an ambient 75°F, the remaining battery voltage was 12.4 volts

The fridge has a Danfoss compressor and was set to the Eco mode.

Indel B?
FWIW I plugged mine into the truck yesterday after leaving it sitting for weeks in 100+ temperatures on the back seat. With a few bottles of water in it, the bottles at the bottom were starting to freeze after about 6 hours. And the bottles were warm when they went in.

Yeah thanks, brain fart.

Also the thermostat seems more accurate than my Waeco. I bought a Accurite wireless thermometer today and put it in the fridge. The sensor is in the top third of the fridge and it reads 34 and it's set at 32. I'm going to set the probe lower in the fridge to see if it changes the reading any.

I moved the probe to the center of the fridge and now it's reading 2 degrees under the set temp. Still a lot better than my Waeco. I think I had to adjust the settings by 8 degrees to get the thermostat to match the interior temp. With the Waeco I used a temperature probe in a bottle of water so I should move the thermometer over to it to verify.
