I ordered the upcoming 3-fuel Campfire in a Can through their Kickstarter promotion (propane, wood, charcoal). It should arrive just in time for the summer camping season. Can't wait.

Does the 3-in1 have the one piece ceramic log? Looks different in the pictures.

Yep, I'll agree it does not look very good.

Thank you for your email.

We are currently in the process of reorganizing our business. If you have a question about your campfire, visit our FAQ section on our website. You can also view the product manual.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Did Campfire in a can go out of business?

Campfire in a Can
recently bilked over 800 investors in a Kickstarter campaign, including many Expo members. Although the website is still up the company does not respond to emails or telephone calls. The references on the website that all products are "out of stock" is a euphemism for "we're hiding from creditors and are essentially out of business." The word on the street is that Leo Knight, the owner of the company, used part of the Kickstarter money to remodel his house and to buy a franchise for his new trash bin cleaning business.

My personal opinion is that one would have to be nuts to do business with Campfire in a Can even if the company were to acquire new stock and reactivate their business.

I recently purchased a Quikfire portable campfire. Although it is aesthetically quite basic, and does not use fake logs for ambiance, it is a well made compact unit that fits the bill for me. Mike Brewer, the owner of the company, was a stand up guy throughout our transaction.

CFIAC went under. Leo Knight, the owner, screwed over those of us that joined his Kickstarter for his new 3-in-1 and he stole $125K. He never showed us samples or any proof of how he exhausted all the funds. The net of this is that he folded CFIAC in January 2016 when he stated to the kickstarter group that the project had failed. A group of us from kickstarter saw that he opened a new business in October 2015, right as the KS group was demanding to samples and proof he was actually working on the project, called BC Bin Wash....a local trash can washing service up in BC Canada where he lives. He's running this out of the same address that housed CFIAC. Most of us believe that CFIAC was getting undercut by Camco's Big & Little Red Campfire in a can so much that it forced him to call it quits. He exhausted his CFIAC inventory and he then set up the KS to fund his new BC Bin Wash venture.

went the Quikfire route after the KS-CFIAC fiasco, even though I have the original CFIAC. Quickfire is about 1/8th the physical size of the CFIAC and can produce more heat than CFIAC (150K BTU vs 65K BTU)....I did a side by side comparison for this as well. Quikfire is a superior product IMO and glad I purchased it.

This stinks. I liked my CFIAC, and was just about to order some replacement parts. Guess I'll make do with what's left of mine. Bummer for the guys who got screwed in the KS campaign.

I remember being really pissed that I missed out on the kick starter campaign! Glad I did now. Sorry to the folks on here that got screwed.

I will take a look at the quick fire now. Thanks for the link.
