As someone in the planning stages of a truck mounted camper myself, I completely sympathize with "towing sucks."
We found that our travel style is very much "few days in a spot then move on" versus "stay a week and explore the area." Trailers are great for the latter but suck for the former. And I'm assuming the folks who think towing and hitching/unhitching are easy don't have anti-sway bars on their rig or never drive in windy conditions.
They both have tradeoffs, of course. It's less easy to be mobile with an attached camper. The traveling part will be, I'd imagine, much easier.
