Who has fit 2 units in their 05+ Tacoma dash? CB+stereo help needed

I currently have a Metro-brand faschia housing my Alpine, and it is time to put in a CB radio. I know nothing about CBs, but I'm looking at a Cobra 18WXST II with a Firestik or Wilson antenna. I'd like to keep it as unobtrusive as possible, especially since I may soon have a bulky GPS mounted in a RAM mount in addition. This means mounting it under the Alpine would be the best option. I've seen it done, and now I plan to DO it.
So to all who have found a solution, could you chime in?
Thanks in advance!

Are you by chance confusing a GPS (Global Positioning System) with CB (Citizens Band)?
Whoops! info corrected :D
Thanks!

I'm going to have both, but it's the CB mounting solution I'm concerned about.

Ah, that makes a bit more sense. To my knowledge nobody is making a DIN spec CB, would be extremely cool though. However with a bit of bracket fab, you can get them to fit pretty cleanly. That said I'm a huge fan of the Cobra 75WXST, mount it wherever you please and save the extra space on the dash for a HAM? Switchpanel? Pocket?

There was a guy I remember that fit a Cobra 18 underneath his stereo in an 05 Tacoma with a double DIN dash kit. I recall that he had to do some minor trimming of the plastic surround, but the end result was a pretty clean fit.

It was a while ago, but I'll see if I can track down the thread.

I'm in the process of doing the same. My first try failed as I didn't realize I only had 6.5" depth to work with. The 8" deep Uniden was a no go. (anyone need a Uniden 538pro?) A Cobra WXST II is on the way. I'll report back with an update when it's done. -Ian

I'm thinking I'll attempt to do what he did. I'm just hoping for someone who has done it to explain how it is mounted once the opening is enlarged. Like zipties and foam tape, or a magic voodoo enchantment, or an actual bracket modification.
I'm not very capable, but I'm willing. Kind of like the fat kid trying out for basketball.
