took a quick trip from vicksburg ms to marlinton wv with my brother last weeked to visit some places we used to go during our formative years. 2200 miles worth of windshield time catching up and stirring memories from when our old man used to take us camping and fishing on the williams and cranberry rivers.

Sounds like a cool trip. Im going up later this summer to bike the Greenbrier river trail and will be using Marlinton as a base. Might stick around and camp for a couple days after. Anything you'd recommend checking out in the area?

Don’t know which way you are coming from, but new river gorge north of beckley near Fayetteville is worth a look.

The highland scenic highway loop near marlinton has exceptional views of the valleys.

Elkins and Seneca Rocks are also nice areas if you have time and it’s not too far out of the way.
