Taken two weeks ago on King William Island in Nunavut in Canada's far north. Not often you get to see an Arctic Fox in summer colors. Most of the ones I generally see are in their winter colors, featured on the sides of truck campers and trailers....

OK, I'll play. These were from last year at Goldwater Lake near Prescott, AZ.

An eagle fishing for breakfast.

Too close for comfort? In hindsight , yeah, definitely. We truly hoped that this big bull was just another lethargic, somnambulant amphibian more interested in sunning itself than eating us, as we watched it from maybe 20’ away from our seats in our inflatable double kayak, drifting along on the Hillsborough River in FloridaIMG_9910.jpeg

This one we found in SE Texas, patiently waiting in the shallows of a coastal swamp along the side of a narrow boardwalk…perhaps hoping for a blue haired granny to inattentively stroll by while dragging a small yappy dog on a long leash? IMG_9911.jpeg

Ok, ok…Just one more from my photo dump. I’ll stop tonight after this one…

“Honey, where did you say that bear was?”
