Will 98 XJ seats fit the brackets of 88 XJ

You all may know my seats are killing me, i found a 98 jeeps seats without brackets and I will pick them up if anyone can make sure the seats holes will match up. I know the brackets are different but if the seats are the same I will be SO happy. Please let me know!

In short.... no they won't without some fabrication. 96 and up xj and zj bases are the same on the seat side (top). The older bases are pretty different. And a lot of them had rocker bases which are very different.

No, not directly but it is easy to fab the brackets so it will work. I put 98 seats in my 94, took about 6 hours to come up with something and build it.

i just got some black GC seats...and I got myself a welder. By welder, I mean my freind who welds with a welder. I will get myself a beer.


I also got the rear seats too...potential for a cool write up soon.
