Thanks Rob: yes, I took a look at those pages long ago and looked for a Magirus set of winch and pulleys but gave up after a while... it is much easier to install a back winch. I made a steel box from scrap to host the 20.000lb. winch and I will make the same on the front.
Back to Capt. Eddie's question: your camper is a very big beast, I don't know if the new Dodge 5500 is bigger than the F-450, but if I had the place I would put winches at both ends; the price of a winch is negligeable in comparison of the help it may bring, and if you don't mess with detachable arrangements and get them stuck firmly to the frame and ready to use they will surely pay-off.
BTW, I dropped off all the hydraulic equipment of the truck; the plan is to run all the gear with air... cleaner, safer, cheaper and easier to serve and repair when you are far and alone.
