Windiw Issue

OK, I am pulling my hair out over a window problem. I am probably missing something obvious so I figured I would try my friends.

My front two windows work no problem. I was told when I bought the vehicle that the rear windows were broken but he gave me two motors to replace them.

I took the door panel off the back left window and tried the motor, no dice. I trouble shooted from there including replacing the switches. Checked the fuses, seem fine.

I tried both the motors in one of the front door panels and they both worked.

Thoughts?

Did you take a voltmeter to the motor leads? Make sure the rear wires are intact and not shorting out?

If the wires have continuity then we can diagnose motor vs window regulator. If you arent getting juice to the rear doors thats the problem.

PM me if you get stuck on this.

I'm assuming you've checked the interlock.
The switches on the cubby box need to be functional for the switches on the rear doors to work. Sway a front window switch for one of the rear ones and see if it works.
That said, since they are both dead ECU is the most likely culprit. Assuming it's not the interlock. ;)

I had the same issue in my classic. I pulled the ecu out from behind the glove box and found one little spot on he board that looked like it could use a little re solder. After that my rear windows worked great.
