Windshield Wiper Mechanism

My wipers have been dragging more and more lately, and sucking juice when they are on, so I decided to investigate. The mechanism joints & seals are mostly toast and binding pretty bad. I looked the part up on Rock Auto and couldn’t find it. Calling dealer tomorrow. Anybody ever do this job?

Tried dealer & several parts shops, looks like a new one might not be possible. May need to rehab the stock one.

Spent some time rehabilitating the wiper transmission as best I could. Cleaned out all the joints and splined pivot bushings. Used silicone spray lube on everything except pivot bushings, they got oil. The time spent was worth it, it really loosened it up and decreased the resistance. Wipers run faster now, way better. Problem is it won’t last, the boots are shot and dirt / dust will get back in there.
