Blades! Out of sight!

Living in the desert (can not remember the last time i used wipers) To keep my wipers ready to use i use two pieces of the foam pipe wrap (sized for 1/2" pipe)that is split with out edge glue (there is 1 style that has glue on edge)
cut them so they extend past ends of wipers about 1/2" as they tend to shrink.
Slip them over blades and yours blades will treat you good when you do need them, takes nothing time wise to put on or remove and if you do turn wipers on by accident they do not scratch or come off.
On my Toyota you do not even notice them as they are dark gray and the wiper rest area is black.
Drive slow and enjoy "its the journey"

Silblades x5. Mine didn't come with any treatment, but just using them makes the rain bead like Rain-X. In So Cal, rubber blades die in 6 months. Now most parts places won't sell refills, they only sell complete blades so it's a waste. If these last for 5 years, the cost will even out. I like them so far on my Tacoma and my Jetta daily driver (which had a huge problem with chatter, even new).

I have tried Bosch Icons. They worked great but only lasted @ 6 months. A little too $$ for me. Went back to cheapos and change them every 4-6 months. I will wipe them down with the wipes for our safety glasses at work and they go a bit more afterwards. My wife's Icons last a lot longer.

I think I will try some Silblades though.
