WJ rear main seal replacement, still leaking?

Just did the RMS. I had it done at a trusted shop in my city. I still notice some oil. A very, very small amount from the same area. Could this be residual? Ive only driven it maybe 20 miles since the repair so I havent put the miles on yet. A little research has given me multiple answers. One guy says he has done this repair on 2 jeeps and it appeared neither stopped leaking immediatel, but both have since. Im thinking/hoping a little bit of residual oil?

I replaced mine twice. The leak was bad enough the first time that oil went everywhere. The second time, it was residual. It won't cost you much to clean everything well, drive it a few miles, then check for a new leak.

that and check the backside of the valve cover / covers? i know the 4.0 liked to leak out of there too.

I would 2nd the valve cover on the 4.0...ran into that last year after doing the RMS.

Valve cover, and a few cans of degreaser/cleaner and a higher power hose.

I have the v8 model. I suppose Ill just keep an eye on it.
