Thanks again Bryan!
.....and......
Thanks Durango_60 for your honesty!
I'm doing my darndest to make you guys who bailed on me, feel as ashamed as humanly possible!.....hehe!......j/k...! I even posted up and had my CB Radio on all the way through Durango hoping you would call up. Long shot I know.....but I tried!
I did my best to co~ordinate..........I said what I did~and did what I said! I was at the campsite as I promised that Friday at 12pm noon. I sacrificed an afternoon of exploring to make sure I was were I said I would be! A VERY Important part of Trip Leadership I feel.
I found a Perfect campsite which could fit as many vehicles as would show up!
Out of ALL the talk on the planning thread (how silly!....hehe)..........only Jeff and his Dad showed up! Jeff's Dad wins the prize for Most Extreme Effort! Tom flew in ALL the way from Scottsdale to be there, and just loved it and can't stop talking about it! Tom was really an asset to the trip along the very SNOWY part of the Imogene Trail and was an excellent spotter and advisor!
We had a blast! .......and even though I know Black Bear is the most infamous! It turned out because of weather that Imogene was the most threatening!
.....can I just add that I love my EL Cheapo tarp/tent! It worked out perfect for the afternoon thunderstorms! A place to sit....cook....eat....even watch the kickoff of the NFL on my mini LCD/TV from my campsite along Hermosa Creek! I couldn't have been more at home!:ylsmoke:
