Hmmm, I just seem to have a problem with the "lost in translation" in most new owners manuals. Icom , Yeasu........ Japanese to English leaves a bit to be desired.

ve found Icom to be not too bad, Kenwood to be marginal, and that danged Greddy Turbo-Timer manual to be a complete waste of effort.

SmartCam (twenty years experiance), Gibbscam (new) and UGNX (customer required - hate it)

Woohoo, just got back from picking up my radio at Ham Radio Outlet.

Went for the strictly 2 meter Yaesu 1802m (upon some very good friends of mine recommendation), but of course they ran out of them.. so they upgraded me to the 2800m for the same price! Got the last Diamond SG2600HD super gainer (beautiful high quality!) antenna in stock! (not making this antenna anymore), i got lucky! Don't need dual band for now and want a solid 2 meter only radio.

Time to install! Pics shortly.
