I really do like those units. However, my concern has always been their durability on corrugated roads. I think the vibration would kill the little hinges and motor gears. Just a little feedback, as I have been down that road a little ways.

I agree. I was considering one to replace the head unit in my '06, but I don't think it would survive much off-roading, not to mention the dust and grit that might work its way in. Now, I *would* be interested in retrofitting the 4Runner Limited's nav unit into a new Taco. I have heard rumors of people doing this but haven't found any documentation yet. I imagine the wiring harnesses are similar if not the same. I'm just not sure what, if any, changes are required in the ECU software.

I am certainly not thinking of such an upgrade. Did you see the price???
But durability is something to consider, no doubt about it.

I was looking into one of thoose too, but am more leaning towards the double din one... My concern is the GPS maps while off the road. Some of the units simal to this one use a DVD to read the data, rather than have the data on hard memory. I think my final option will be an Eclipse double din unit, or the CarPC. I the the option of being able to have a review camera input and GPS on screen at the same time or sent to another monitor is a nice feature.
