I'm currently running 33s, I'm probably going to move back to factory tires when these wear out. The guys moving to 35s sell their stockers cheap with little wear so you can get a deal. I drive a JKU. Once a year I go on a more challenging trail run and I get high centered. On that day once per year, 35s would be great. The rest of the year, and on every other trip I take, the stock height tires would be fine.

Yikes. Might need to rethink the KO2s, this is a quote from Costco Canada. Yes, that's Each:

There seems to be a mix of usages on here. From all street but want an off road look. To 37s on a dedicated trail rig.

I drive about 10,000 miles a year and about 3000 of those miles or more are for off road trips. Which are mostly highway. But I use the jeep off road at least once a monh and usually they're mutliday trips with the occasional 6-7 rated obstacle or trail in our way. So I need he most off road ability while still retaining good street manners and fuel economy.

I agree that the 12.5s are wider than ideal. They also like out past the fenders some. Maybe the 285/75r17 BFG MTs are the way to go. Also rubicons just look better with MT tires. This size is hard to find and expensive though.

Scratch that. They don't make these anymore.

I wanted to run the 285/75r17 KM2 also but BFG just phased them out. If you find a secret stash, let me know!

I wondered if that would happen. It was such an orphan of a size. I looked at them but the limited availability of replacements in the event of destroyed tire killed that size for me.

Does anyone know if these can be found in D-rated?

ALL jeeps LOOK better with MT. However, I would be changing tires every 6-8 months if I run MT tires because of treadwear as I do ALOT fo driving.

Good luck. There was a set on eBay less than a week ago, gone now. I have been eyeballing this size for a while, I have settled and I am about to head out and buy some used 285/70/17s.

EDIT: There are these as well: http://denver.craigslist.org/pts/4827834217.html

I wouldn't get them though.

And one other for sale on cl you could use as a spare. That is all I found.

I should clarify -- I don't mind spending money if it's good value for that amount.

Anyone have any idea what sort of mileage can be expected out of the KO2s? And how that compares to the Cooper AT3s at Canadian Tire for $100 less each?

I really think you should try the 34x10.50 ko2's, keep track of mileage and then report back to me. I need some real world numbers on mileage with a 2" lift and your setup so I can make a educated decision on which tires to buy next.

The KO2 should wear just as good as the original KO. Like IRON. if you are looking for a cheap good tire, get the territory from CT. 285s were 187 last week.

I'm a slacker and hadn't updated my profile...in PDX now but thanks for the sleuthing! I have some time until I'm forced to make a decision so maybe some new options will appear.

I found them on a major tire company's website. Maybe there's just a shortage because they do limited runs of them.

Couldn't we expect the price of the KO2s to come down to KO1 prices once they're old news?
