Yep 100% agree about spilling. Trail Monkey had a pair of brand new CARB cans on his AT trailer he picked up right before our Mojave trip. I happened to order a pair of Scepter Mil version from Paul at Equip1 and had them shipped to friend in Navada and got them the night before we hit the trail.

Both of us filled up our cans at the same place and put in about 4.5 gallons each, hoping neither set would leak. After two days and 100 miles across the Mojave Road, his two can had leaked all over themselves and the trailer. Mine, on top of our trailer had not leaked a drop.

Next we filled up our rigs and his dribbled and leaked plus took forever to drain into the Jeep. Mine not only did not leak a drop, they dumped the fuel in faster then filling up at the gas station. This was using the Scepter fuel nozzle.

We were both trying to figure out what the heck CARB is thinking as my "non CARB" cans were much more environmentally friendly then these "CARB" version.

Is this progress???

On my recent trip to Death Valley I had two large Scepters and 4 half-size Scepters on the roof basket.

They never leaked and I liked that the plastic did not tear up my aluminum roof rack.

I got two from Brigade in mid-January after the CARB panic was starting to hit. Good luck! I didn't see all-red cans, though. OD w/red cap band.

I just got my three mil-spec Scepters from Brigade Quartermasters along with the NON-carb spout, a 5 gal water can and a set of khaki bdu's. Woohoo!
The took about a week to arrive. Not bad!

I bought 3 OD w/ red and a MWC from Brigade in Jan. as well. They did ship to Cal with no questions, then. I have since seen on their website that they only ship MFC's to mil/govt now. Good luck.
