(No longer) WTB; Maasdam Jackmate -- Found one, Thanks.

Thank you, but I got one. WTB now over. Go back to the trail and thanks for searching the world.

Guy's,

I am preparing the Trail & Safety class for my club and I am in search of an essential recovery component. The Jackmate. Mine grew lags and walked away from my truck at an event in Co. Oh well; I guess they needed it more.

If anyone has one or knows someone please PM or post up here.

Thanks,

-Ben

I believe I purchased mine from British Pacific on eBay, but that was some time back and I haven't found any since then.

However, this turned up in a Google search, but I have no experience with that website/company.

They seem to have been discontinued. I bought mine here: https://www.expeditionexchange.com/recoverygear/

You may want to call and see if they have any leads.

That's what I have found out. I have called everyone who lists it according to a Gooooooogle search and get the same answer everywhere.

I called them. They were the original manufacturers and stated that they stopped perducing them. A receptionist said that she gets at least one call a day and doesn't know why they would discontinue such a popular product.

Contact customer support. I bet they can point you to a retailer who has them in stock.

Also, Hi Lift has a similar product offered on their Xtreme Jack. May be offered as an accessory?

I will try the link. I have the Hi-Lift X-treme. It has most of the features, but I need the spikes on the base to use on rocks and wood as opposed to the Hi-Lift base.

Thanks guys,

-Ben

Yeah, I saw that but you can't have mine so I suggested an alternative!

I have that I don't use, but shipping to you would be crazy.

I found one. Shipping from Seattle was about $15.00. In the end it was worth it for having it for the class. It's definitely a step above the Hi-Lift X-Treme clamp. This one is bare metal I just wish it was like my older one that was powder coated yellow (kinda matches my rig.)

My zinc plated version has been on my rear bumper for years and looks perfect.:wings: The hi-lift on the other hand does not look perfect or even close. :smilies27

I believe it has the zinc coating from what the salesman described. I think when I send off my front Runner gas can carriers off to PC I will have the Jackmate done as well. You know...old school. My PC guy is good. He usually throws in the small stuff at no extra charge.

Yesterday I took off the Hi-Lift and ran it up and down several times. It ran fine until I lifted the FJ. It ceased int he up position, but it was nothing a little WD-40 couldn't handle. I made sure the fins were freed and move in & out smoothly.

I put it back on with a nice coat of WD-40 to keep water off it.
