WTB: Mitsubishi, Mazda. D50 or Isuzu 4x4

Hi, I'm looking for a mid 80's to early 90's 4x4 extended cab pickup for a turbo diesel conversion. I need a Mitsubishi Mighty Max, Dodge Ram D50, Mazada B-2600 or Isuzu P'up Spacecab. The body and interior must be in good condition, bad motor or tranny is ok.

I will give anyone a $100 finders fee if I buy the one they find. I'm willing to travel anywhere to find what I'm looking for.

Cheers, what kind of TD are you planning to fit?

For a 4 cylinder my personal favorite is the Mitsubishi 4D56 2.5 for long term reliability. Having owned two Toyota diesels; a 2L (didn't keep it long enough for the inevitable head gasket failure) and a 3L (awesome but parts cost too much). And being a west coast Canadian can't help you find a truck.

Yep, the 4D56 is what I'm installing! It is supposed to bolt right into the Mighty Max, D50 and B2600.

There a wide verity of online manuals, wiring diagrams, etc; available on different Mitsu forums. Just a few are http://www.delica.ca/forum/, http://www.delicaclub.com/index.php, http://www2.pajeroclub.com.au/forum/index.php, http://www.pocuk.com/forums/, http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/forum4.php. Through these sites I've saved plenty of money; eg; part store here asks $50 for a single glow plug, but bought 4 for $45 including shipping from Australia. Cool, didn't know it'd fits into the Mazada.

Thanks, thats good info. The Mazda B2600's that were carbed were the Mitsubishi 2.6l motors just like the Mighty Max and D50.

Those Mazdas are bulletproof. Really strong. I had one. Bought it in 94 and sold only a couple of months ago. Gave me zero hassles except for rust.
Check the pillars either side of the front windscreen, top and bottom. Any sign of rust in those spots then run away.
