I'm looking for a good set of Rubicon flares for my LJ. Anybody got a set of takeoffs you'e tired of collecting dust in the garage? Pm me if you've got anything.

Tell me about it. I've been looking for awhile and would like to get a set before the winter slush hits.

Sorry guys! I just sold a set locally on Craig's List. I did not think to post them here on the Expo forum. I have a few other items to sell and will make sure to put them in the for sale section.

Hey! Hey! This is my thread, don't make me wrestle you for a set of Rubi flares. Or worse yet, a Barbarian Pit Match with us yielding cast of Jeep parts as weapons! :shakin: Will someone please get me and goodtimes some Rubi flares so we can live in harmony?

As long as we aren't using perfectly good rubicon flares as weapons....bent tie rods...sure...just not the flares man!!! :sport_box

There is also a set on rubiconownersforum.com for $180. They are take offs with ~8000 miles, located in CA.

Since the really is your thread...I'll leave them alone for a few days....;)

FWIW, you can get new, OEM rubicon flares from jeepsareus.com, complete set, for $250.

http://www.jeepsareus.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=JAU&Category_Code=EXT

about 1/2 way down.

I might go that route. The only *good* set I have found, the owner wanted $260 for the set...

Thanks for the info. Tonight I got a hold of a buddy of mine who mans the parts counter at the local Jeep dealership and he has a set sitting in the back room collecting dust that some else ordered and didn't pick up so he's gonna make me a smokin' deal. Sorry the pit match is now off, which is probably a good thing since I ain't as young as I use to be.

I purchased a set from Jeepsareus.com for the quoted $250. It is the best deal you will find anywhere. These replaced the set I sold recently. I purchased my LJ used and the flares had some very minor damage. I just felt like starting with some fresh ones.

What is so special about the Rubi flares? I have the 7" Crown flares and am very impressed with them. I've had them smashed against the side of my Unlimited and thought they were done for but came out with only a few scratches, not even any white marks. I only paid $180 for the set.
