XJ Ball Joints?

I was told I need upper and lower ball joints on my XJ. Since I am friends with the owner, I'm sure that's correct. They will let me bring in my own parts, which is great. They recommended Moog uppers and lowers.

After doing some research, I've seen the Moog are certainly the premium in terms of price. Are they truly better than the less expensive brands? I don't have a problem spending the money, but am wondering if they're really that much better.

I have an XJ HP30 in my ZJ and have replaced the ball joints a couple times as 35's and hard wheeling tend to wear on them a bit, and don't recall the Moog's really being that much more. But for something like a ball joint I have no problem spending a little extra coin for it.

If i were you id go spicer. In this case OEM is better, iv heard a lot of MOOG quality going down hill

I have had the Poly Performance ball joint in for a while, just checked them after a year, Zero movement.
