Yaesu MH-59A8J

I use a Yaesu 857d and I just bought the remote control mike MH-59A8J but it doesn't work. I can only switch the rig on and off the other buttons don't work??? Is there anybody who knows how to cure this??

PS I'm trying to connect to you guys via IRLP but here in The Netherlands there aren't that many nodes.

I just connected the same mic yesterday... Page 125 of the manual, Menu 59 change it to RMT...

I tried that and it doesn't work. Maby I'm doing something wrong?
The keypad doesn't light up as well.

is your mic plugged in all the way? can you use it to talk? I just swithched mine again and as soon as I set it to RMT it lights up and all of the buttons start working.
