Depending on the terain you wish to coever it should do it. I'd probally mod a old motorcycle tent trailer with atv tires and wheels to keep it super lite, but the machine should pull. I know our XUTwould but it's made to pull, it walked our 16' car trailer through 6-8" of mud with no issues.:smiley_drive:

I was researching the same topic a few months back. For most of the trails we run in Idaho, the AT was too wide and heavy. There are a few motorcycle trailers I saw that might work but none of them had the suspension capabilities of an AT. I'll be watching this thread to see what others have to say.

1500 lbs behind any ATV or UTV on any terrain other than FLAT is a recipe for disaster. We have many inquiries about pulling our Sherpa with UTV's and my answer is always the same, absolutely not. Any ATV or UTV with an engine size of 500cc or larger will pull the 1500lbs on level ground and even has the power to pull up hills. The problem comes in loss of traction when trying to tow a weight equal to or greater than the weight of the UTV uphill.
But the real killer is trying to stop when headed down a steep section with 1500lbs behind you pushing.
We have built our Quest series trailers for 4 years and they are designed to be pulled behind ATV's. We are now custom building larger Quest series trailers designed for UTV's. We have two in fabrication now for search and rescue units here in Arkansas. One of them will be used in mountainous terrain and has electric brakes. A digital brake controller will be mounted on the UTV to control the brakes.
We have towed trailers on advanced rated trails with Arctic Cat 500 4WD ATV's Our bikes have an automatic trans with low range and engine braking.
With a loaded trailer weight of 500 lbs I can descend in low range and only brake occasionally.
Another factor to consider is making it through the narrow access gates on many public trails.
