Whilst perusing around OK4WD looking for olive drab Maxtraxx I stumbled upon this little guy..... http://ok4wd.com/arb-intensity-ar-1-flashlight

I am a sucker for flashlights..... I may just have to end up ordering some ARB or Old Man Emu goodies.

Good price, but it's not like it's gonna out-Surefire a Surefire.

Surprisingly my buddy says it out Surefire's his Surefire. ;) But in general I would agree with you. This one (Im referring to the OxyLED from Amazon I posted) is larger in diameter than the Surefire. But I also wont be pi**ed if I lose it. Each tool has its place.

That's true, and I'm just taking trash. I like that the technology from Surefire that I used to ooh and ah about is accessible and cheap so you can stash decent lights in multiple places instead of having 1-2 expensive lights.

I've been digging the OLights lately. Seem to be a pretty solid light and not bank busting. I like the little S10 Batons as an EDC light. Pops into your pocket small enough you don't notice, but it packs a solid punch for a little bugger. I have OLights scattered about the house and 1 Thrunite in my bedroom. Not great for the pocket, buts good as a general purpose light and bright as snot for its size.

Heh. My flashlights sorta seem to be like pens; folks borrow 'em and they just seem to walk away. So you at least need a few that work well but that won't have you throwing a wake if they depart.

And my biggest problem these days is finding DIM flashlights. Seems many market based on how bright they are, not how dim they can be. I hate the tools who blind everyone in camp with lights that are far too bright, and I don't wanna be one of those.

Flashlight Fetish - it's real. Not that I need another flashlight but this is on my radar.

Just adding to the chatter....

Love my FourSevens Quark light, had it for a few years now and it never leaves my side. Offroading, camping, traveling... perfect EDC
