Was the spare carrier custom made locally or ordered from somewhere? It looks really nice!

No spacers. Here are some front and rear pics. Doesn't really give a good representation of how far the wheels/tires stick out from the body. If i remember right, they were about even or maybe just a little inboard of the body.

This was mine I had a few years ago. Still kick myself for selling it. Had it set up just perfectly. 3" OME HD springs, 5100 Bilstein shocks, JKS adj. trackbar, Moog SS, JK takeoffs, and 265/70/17 Nitto TerraGrapplers. Rode excellent on highway. Never got it offroad though.

FYI: Clayton Offroad has a double shear track bar that has a NO-drop frame side bracket and the bar is adjustable. Might be something to look into.

That XJ looks like it has had some very nice bumpers put on and tastefully done. With the exception of those blasted side tubes. Those have GOT TO GO!!

Anyone use Factory leaf springs on their m416 from let's say Ford, Chevy, Jeep, Toyota trucks, etc? I am thinking of pairing some truck leaf springs with some Rancho 9000 shocks to fine tune ride when loaded/unloaded. I will try my best to match trailer weight to load rating of the springs...

My $0.02 on those "boomerang shackles". Dont even bother. Since this is a DD and expo based vehicle, go with some HD offroad shackle boxes and slightly longer shackles to get your desired height. Those boxes are pure BEEF and you can set your shackle angle to get the soft ride you are looking...

^^^ Correct, the 3.6 in the Outback and Legacy use the 5speed tranny and not the CVT.

I guess I got here late on the Group Buy. Doh. I will have to keep an eye out for the Next one if CVT decides to allow it. I dont see why not since this one was such a hit!
