    Solar & Alternator Power

Thanks! I’m not ready to run dedicated power. We’re only out for a few days at most and the power is mostly to run a pump for a shower and maybe charging gadgets occasionally. We’re in RTT’s and typically camp where there’s lots of sun. When we arrive, we’ll setup a panel, and the trailer stays...

    Solar & Alternator Power

I’m going to try to piggyback here, rather than start a new thread. I’m planning something similar. should I have the hot from my 7-pin go straight to the battery andlet the truck charge it? (It’s a ‘16 F150, I think it’ll charge it intelligently) Or, should the hot from the 7-pin go to the...

2000 Astro Van AWD Engine / Trans Replacement.

I had a 2000 with AWD and a 4.3. I didn't keep it long or do much to it, I decided to go a different direction. It was a good rig, AWD worked. From what I understand the AWD units wear out because they're run off of some sort of clutch pack, wear and tear item.

    Rooftop Tent Truck Bed Rack

I've got a Mule Rack from Expedition One. It was a bit on the expensive side, but you can set the height where you want it, and it's really well made. I just saw a RCI is making a bed rack for F-150's now, I'm not sure if the dimensions are close enough to the silverado. I should note that...

M101A1 to Expedition Trailer Conversion Bryan, TEXAS

ARe you sure that's an A1? It's had some updates if that's the case, that looks like an A2 axle. The A1 had the old dodge patern 5 lug wheel.

    Bed rack for pickup

I use an expedition one mule rack in my F150. It's plenty strong for a RTT.

'16 F150 - Expedition One Mule Rack - CVT Tent

I might have posted this before, hopefully not. It took me a while to find a solution for my RTT and the F150, so I figured posting here might help someone else. I've had the rack and tent on for a few weeks, but I wasn't happy with the spacing on my load bars. I spent some time moving them a...

    Jeep to F150 HD SCREW...

I've been working on a new F150 after coming from a Tacoma. I'm getting a Mule rack from Expedition One. It's mostly a direct fit, but instead of bolting it to the bed sides directly, I'm going to install some aircraft L track. (The weight goes on the bed rails, the L track only keeps it in...

    rooftop tent mounting question

This should be fine. The tent floor will have aluminum extruded channels on the side that attaches to your rack/frame. This will lift it off of the rack/frame about an inch. The floor will never dip below a flat plane, unless the hinge is damaged.

    rooftop tent mounting question

Your pics don't seem to work, but I have a CVT Mt. Ranger on my 101A2. The tent opens flat, so you'll want the bottom edge just above the edges of the trailer. You'll also need to make the hinge side line up with the edge of your trailer if you want to use the annex room effectively. My tent...

    Rtt brands pros/cons

I have an ARB Simpson III, and a CVT Mt Ranier Standard. CVT's customer service is excellent. I called several times when deciding which tent to get, as well as with questions about the annex room. I haven't called ARB, but the local distributor that I bought it from has been excellent. The...

I agree that it's still a fair deal, but it was unexpected. Especially since, technically, you should be paying sales tax to the state you live in for internet purchases.

    Lowering a M101A

If you're not looking to make any other changes to the trailer, you might get a shop to change the axle to spring over the leaves, unstead of spring under. You'll be able to retain the surge breaking. Well, I guess you could do that, even if you get a new axle. That, with smaller tires would...
